Things I've Noticed So Far about Europe

Here are some miscellaneous things I've noticed about Europe as a whole thus far:

1. People of all ages love Abercrombie and Fitch and Hollister. We were walking in Paris and came upon this beautiful golden gate with a huge crowd of people waiting outside. We pulled out our cameras, thinking it was a politician or great monument or something and we came to find it was the line to get into A& F. So ridiculous.
2. There isn't Pepsi anywhere, only Coke products. Forget about Mountain Dew completely, you will only waste your time.
3. Fresh fruits and veggies, wine and water are cheap. Everything else is expensive. Especially make-up and soap.
4. Its true, there's a lot of BO. Its really bad on the metro stations where its busy and hot.
5. Elbow room is not a thing here. Personal space bubbles are much smaller.
6. Its really weird not to be able to read here in Athens. Its just starting to hit me that I am in a place where I can't even read!
7. If you are blonde, people think you're from Sweden. Go with it. Loads of fun.
8. People are actually polite if you make an effort to speak their language or do what they do. I was at the grocery store today, and even though I couldn't remember any of the words, I remembered "thank you" (Efrahisto) and the cashiers face lit up.

Off to my first Greek Literature class!
